Run by Guilford County Environmental Services.

What it takes

It’s the only place in Guilford County that takes tires. It’s the only one of Guilford County’s recycling centers that takes appliances. The Household Hazardous Waste Center takes paint, used motor oil, batteries, and household hazardous waste. The White Street Landfill and the Ingleside Compost Facility take brush.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Guilford County rules

  • Guilford County doesn’t run trash drop-off centers. Hire a licensed hauler, or take garbage yourself to the City of Greensboro’s transfer station or High Point’s Kersey Valley Landfill; call them about load rules and costs.
