What it takes

Haywood County’s other nine convenience centers take the same items. The Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) takes tires, appliances, mattresses, and construction debris. The White Oak Landfill (WOLF) takes brush.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

  • Haywood County’s 10 convenience centers take bagged household trash and loose recycling from county residents at no charge, plus used motor oil, compact fluorescent bulbs, and batteries. They don’t take construction debris, commercial waste, brush, or waste from outside the county.
