What it takes

It’s the only place in Haywood County that takes tires, appliances, mattresses, and construction debris. The White Oak Landfill (WOLF) takes brush.

Haywood County rules

  • The Materials Recovery Facility in Clyde is for residents and small haulers that unload by hand; dump trucks and dump trailers go to the White Oak Landfill. It charges nothing for household waste, tires, or appliances, and $55 a ton for commercial, industrial, and construction waste. Waste from outside the county is charged by weight. It doesn’t take brush.
