What it takes

The Twin Oaks Solid Waste Facility and the Mooresville Transfer Station take electronics.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Iredell County rules

  • Every site needs a current Iredell County decal on your windshield. Homeowners get one with the property tax bill in August; an attendant can issue one if you bring a photo ID, proof of residence, and the vehicle. Out-of-county users face a $50 fine.
  • Household trash, recycling, and appliances are free for residents who’ve paid the Solid Waste Availability Fee.
  • No trailers over 10 feet or double loads at the convenience sites or the Mooresville Transfer Station; take them to Twin Oaks.
  • Cover or secure every load. An uncovered load can bring a $50 civil penalty.
