Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Iredell County rules
- Every site needs a current Iredell County decal on your windshield. Homeowners get one with the property tax bill in August; an attendant can issue one if you bring a photo ID, proof of residence, and the vehicle. Out-of-county users face a $50 fine.
- Household trash, recycling, and appliances are free for residents who’ve paid the Solid Waste Availability Fee.
- No trailers over 10 feet or double loads at the convenience sites or the Mooresville Transfer Station; take them to Twin Oaks.
- Cover or secure every load. An uncovered load can bring a $50 civil penalty.
