Nash County rules
- Every vehicle at a convenience center needs a Nash County Convenience Center Permit hangtag in view. Rural households pay for it through the $165 yearly solid waste fee on the tax bill, and landlords pass it to tenants; town residents can buy a 3-year permit ($225 in its first year, less later) at the landfill office, weekdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A lost hangtag costs $10 to replace.Nash County’s landfill page says county residents pay a $155 yearly solid waste fee.
- Bag household garbage and recycle plastic bottles. The centers take no wet paint, stains, solvents, gasoline, animal carcasses, auto parts, burning materials, or business waste. Not every center takes every item, and some have quantity limits.
