What it takes
It’s the only place in Onslow County that takes mattresses and construction debris.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Onslow County rules
- At the landfill, a FAST PASS covers a full truck bed of household trash for $20, or half a bed for $10; otherwise trash is $60 a ton ($3 minimum for up to 100 pounds).
- Two mobile units serve outlying areas: Richlands (436 Cavanaugh Town Road) on the last Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Silverdale (1355 Belgrade-Swansboro Road, Maysville), noon to 6 p.m. one day a week except the last Saturday of the month. Both close at 5:30 p.m. in winter. Call 252-424-2587.
