What it takes

Pitt County’s other 13 convenience centers take the same items. The Pitt County Transfer Station takes tires and construction debris.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Pitt County rules

  • Household garbage is free at the collection sites and the Transfer Station. Pitt County homeowners pay a $144 yearly solid waste tax.
  • Construction debris, tires, hazardous waste, and anything from a business go to the Transfer Station, not the collection sites.
