What it takes

It’s one of two Sampson County convenience centers that take appliances and electronics. The Sampson County Landfill takes tires, brush, and construction debris.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Sampson County rules

  • Sampson County’s 12 staffed convenience sites, run for the county by Waste Industries (now GFL Environmental), are for residents who live outside the towns, for household trash and recycling only; no commercial waste. Most close from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on weekdays. Paper, cardboard, cans, glass bottles and jars, and plastic bottles and jugs all go in the commingled containers; no drinking glasses, dishes, or window glass. Questions go to GFL’s office.
