Stanly County convenience centers and dump hours

Southwest North Carolina, on Eastern time

Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers nine convenience centers and the City of Albemarle Landfill. The City of Albemarle Landfill is run by the City of Albemarle, not the county. Each one’s posted hours are below, with the rules that apply.

Convenience centers

  • Stanly County’s convenience centers are for households in unincorporated Stanly County and the Town of Badin that pay the solid waste fee; anyone else using them breaks the county’s ordinance. Attendants can turn away oversized loads.
  • Every center takes mixed recycling (cans, newspaper, cardboard, plastic jugs and bottles without lids, paper), used motor oil and filters, and cooking oil.
