Surry County rules
- Surry County’s 13 recycling centers take bagged household trash (kitchen and daily household waste) and recycling, free with a county sticker on your vehicle; request one on the county’s form. No business waste, and no pickup loads of bagged trash; bigger loads, wood, metal, and cleanouts go to the landfill. The centers don’t take glass.
- No Surry County site takes liquids, paint, or hazardous waste; ask the store or maker how to get rid of them.
