What it takes

Grainger County’s other six convenience centers take the same items. The Grainger County Recycling Center takes tires, mattresses, and household hazardous waste.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Grainger County rules

  • The county’s sanitation services are for Grainger County residents only. Garbage, waste, and tires from outside the county aren’t accepted.
  • The convenience centers take household garbage, with bins for paper, plastic, cardboard, and used motor oil. All of them are closed on Wednesdays.
