Tipton County convenience centers and dump hours

West Tennessee, on Central time

Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers the Tipton County Convenience Center, the Tipton County Landfill, and the Tipton County Recycling Center. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.

What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more

Before you go

You need a landfill permit to drop off: $35 a year (July 1 to June 30) at the Landfill Office or the Public Works Office, or a $5 day pass. Permits are sold only to Tipton County residents with two proofs of address. Recycling needs no permit.
The landfill only takes waste from inside Tipton County.
Cardboard, #1 and #2 plastic, and newspaper recycling bins are also in Munford at Haddad’s and in Covington by the Water Plant Tower.
