Indian River County rules

  • The five Customer Convenience Centers are for Indian River County residents’ household waste only, no commercial waste. They take household garbage free, recycling, packaging Styrofoam, plastic bags, scrap metal and appliances, electronics, tires, household hazardous waste, and yard waste under 3 inches across and 4 feet long. Construction debris, larger yard waste and land clearing debris, dirt, sod, animal carcasses, and heavy equipment tires go to the landfill.
  • Ammunition, explosives, and fireworks aren’t taken at the landfill or any of the centers.
