How to get rid of household hazardous waste in Monroe County
Monroe County takes residents’ household hazardous waste free at the Cudjoe Key Transfer Station the first and third Wednesdays and the Long Key Transfer Station the first and third Fridays (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.), at Key Largo by appointment, and at its collections in Stock Island, Marathon, and Key Largo.

- No radioactive waste, ammunition, medicines, or sharps. Hazardous waste loads can’t exceed 25 gallons or 220 pounds a trip, but repeat trips are allowed.
