What it takes

Palm Beach County’s other five transfer stations take the same items. The Customer Convenience Drop-Off Center at North County Landfill takes tires and construction debris.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Palm Beach County rules

  • At the transfer stations and the landfill’s drop-off center, your vehicle is weighed coming and going, and you pay by the ton, $20 at least, in cash or by Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. Tie down or cover your load: an unsecured load costs $10 more.
  • Transfer stations can’t take concrete, chain-link fencing, block, brick, tile, steel, roofing, construction lumber, pallets, tires on rims, loads of tires, dirt, sod, stumps, or tree pieces over 50 pounds or 6 feet long. Take those to the drop-off center at the North County Landfill.
