What it takes

It’s the only place in Seminole County that takes paint, batteries, and household hazardous waste. The Central Transfer Station and the Seminole County Landfill take tires and brush. The Seminole County Landfill takes appliances and construction debris.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Seminole County rules

  • Unincorporated Seminole County homes can schedule bulk pickup of appliances, furniture, and debris from minor household repairs with their hauler: Waste Pro (407-774-0800) in service areas 1 and 3, Waste Management (407-464-0664) in area 2. Anything bulk pickup won’t take goes to the landfill or the Central Transfer Station.
  • The ReUse Shop in the Household Hazardous Waste Tunnel gives residents usable paint, pool chemicals, cleaners, and other products dropped off there, free: up to 15 items a day, no more than 5 of one kind, after signing a waiver.
