What it takes
Butts County’s other six convenience centers take the same items. The Butts County Inert Landfill takes brush. The Butts County Public Works Used Oil Tank takes used motor oil.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Butts County rules
- Every Butts County citizen can use the seven sites free; without a Butts County tag, you may be asked for a driver’s license, utility bill, or tax records. Pickup-truck loads only (about 8 by 3 feet). No commercial waste or contracted dumping, including rental or foreclosure cleanouts.
- Every site takes household waste and recycles textiles, magazines, books and paper, corrugated cardboard, aluminum cans and scrap metal, plastics, small vehicle and lawn mower batteries, and white goods; the attendant shows you the right container. Furniture and anything too heavy to lift into an open-top container go to the Brownlee Road site only.
