Dougherty County rules
- Dougherty County residents with ID can bring up to 500 pounds once a day free (tires and farm animals excluded); heavier self-hauled loads are $40.97 a ton, figured in 20-pound steps. Rental property and commercial loads pay the $40.97 gate rate. Cover or secure every load.
- The landfill takes most non-hazardous waste, but not herbicides, pesticides, gasoline, oil, batteries, hazardous or biomedical waste, or tires on rims. It closes for an hour, noon to 1 p.m., once a month for a safety meeting.
