Emanuel County rules
- The transfer station takes up to a ton of residential household garbage free; heavier loads and all business waste pay by weight, up to $57.62 a ton. Check in at the gate, cross the scale, and staff will help you unload. It doesn’t take concrete, asphalt, batteries, hazardous materials, asbestos, or limb debris.
- Emanuel County closed its landfill in 2002. Garbage from the dumpsites and the transfer station goes to a landfill in another county.
