Fulton County rules
- Fulton County runs no trash pickup or drop-off of its own: the whole county lies inside its 15 cities, which provide trash service. The county’s Solid Waste and Recycling page links each city’s trash page.
- Roswell residents with proof of residence leave household trash and furniture at the Roswell Transfer Station free. Others pay $3 a bag of trash, $10 for a lamp, rug, or vacuum, $15 for most furniture or a tube TV, and $20 for a mattress, box spring, or couch. Construction and demolition materials (drywall, lumber, decking, fencing, tile, and concrete in pieces under 50 pounds) come only from Roswell residents, at $100 a ton. No hazardous waste, yard waste, or recyclables such as appliances, electronics, paint, and tires.
- On the third Saturday of each month from February through December, the City of Atlanta holds Atlanta Recycles Day at Greenbriar Mall for city residents: paper shredding, plus recycling for tires, small electronics, and household recyclables (glass, cardboard, books, cans).
- Alpharetta residents can drop off glass, and only glass, around the clock in the Public Works parking lot at 1790 Hembree Road. Johns Creek residents can recycle glass at Ocee Park (10900 Buice Road) and Cauley Creek Park (7255 Bell Road).
