What it takes
It’s the only place in Gwinnett County that takes appliances, mattresses, electronics, brush, and some batteries.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Gwinnett County rules
- In unincorporated Gwinnett, trash and recycling pickup is mandatory and comes from the hauler the county assigns to your neighborhood. Up to two bulky items or appliances a week go at the curb free when you schedule them with that hauler. Construction and demolition debris needs an authorized construction and demolition hauler.
- Glass doesn’t go in curbside recycling. Gwinnett County has 13 glass recycling stations, open from sunrise to 11 p.m. unless posted otherwise: in Bethesda, Bogan, Duncan Creek, E.E. Robinson, Harbins, Lenora, Lucky Shoals, Peachtree Ridge, Pinckneyville, and Rabbit Hill parks, at the Collins Hill and Mountain Park aquatic centers, and at the Community Resource Center at Georgia Belle Court. Lawrenceville’s glass station at Public Works, 435 W. Pike Street, is open to anyone daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the Snellville Recycling Center takes glass too.
- Gwinnett County and Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful hold a recycling day around Earth Day each spring and America Recycles Day each fall, for electronics (fees for TVs, monitors, and printers), tires without rims, paint, clothing and sneakers, and paper shredding. The 2026 America Recycles Day is Saturday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville.
- Snellville residents with a Georgia driver’s license showing a city address can bring one pickup truckload of household junk a day free (furniture, TVs and computers, mattresses, toys; no construction debris, paint, tires, or food waste) and one truckload of yard debris, with a second yard debris load for $15. A truck and trailer count as two loads. Freon appliances are $15 for residents and $25 for others. The center takes no household garbage, hazardous materials, tires, carpet, or construction debris.
