- Attendants check every car for a current Haralson County permit, one per household, renewed every year by Jan. 31. Get it at the Commissioner’s Office, 155 Van Wert Street, Buchanan, with a tax or utility bill, mortgage statement, or lease. It’s free in unincorporated Haralson County, Buchanan, and Waco, and $40 a year in Bremen and Tallapoosa, whose mayors opted out of the county’s sanitation program.
- The six convenience centers take bagged household garbage, up to 10 bags a trip, bulk waste, and recyclables.
