Pickens County convenience centers and dump hours
This page covers the Pickens County Central Recycling Center and the East Side Recycling Center. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.
What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more
Before you go
- Recycling is free: cardboard, mixed paper, plastics #1 and #2, aluminum and other metal, and glass, but no pizza boxes. The East Side Recycling Center takes every recyclable except appliances. Paper shredding is free at the Central Recycling Center; call 706-253-8871 before bringing a large amount.
Multipurpose centers
- The Central Recycling Center takes bagged household trash, its only non-recyclable: $1 a bag up to 33 gallons, $3 for bigger bags. Pay the attendant, who gives you a ticket, and sort your recyclables into the bins as you drive through. It takes major credit cards and PayPal.
