Richmond County dump hours
This page covers the Augusta Landfill. The Augusta Landfill is run by Augusta Engineering & Environmental Services, not the county. Its hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.
What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more
Before you go
- Augusta’s garbage customers get weekly curbside bulk pickup of furniture, mattresses, and appliances, up to 10 cubic yards a week, included in their fees. Tires aren’t picked up at the curb; Augusta recycles them free at tire recycling events.
Landfills
- At Augusta’s landfill, three household bags or fewer are free, and loads under 6,000 pounds are $5 a visit. By the ton, household and other municipal waste is $40.30, construction debris $32.70, and inert waste (yard trimmings, limbs, stumps, soil, concrete) $22.40. Recycling is free.
- The landfill takes household waste (furniture, TVs, mattresses, appliances), small household quantities of hazardous waste, construction debris, inert waste, metal (in its own area), and tires from households, not businesses. It doesn’t take bulk liquids, lead-acid batteries, oil, wet paint, PCBs, or radioactive waste.
