What it takes
It’s the only place in Rockdale County that takes tires, appliances, mattresses, electronics, and brush.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Rockdale County rules
- Since Feb. 1, 2026, trash, bulk waste, and tree debris need a yearly Full User Tag: $150, or $100 for residents 60 and older, sold at the center (Tuesday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) with a Georgia driver’s license or state ID and a utility bill or lease from the last 30 days. Recycling plastic, cardboard, glass, tires, and aluminum cans needs no tag.
- For Rockdale County and City of Conyers residents only, no commercial haulers. Each household may bring 10 bags of household trash a week, two pickup or small-trailer (up to 6 by 10 feet) loads of bulk waste and two of yard debris, one mattress set, and four tires off the rim. The yard debris area closes at 4:30 p.m.
- The center doesn’t take carpet, flooring, tile, shingles, insulation, countertops, roofing, concrete, brick, sheetrock, stumps, oil-based paint, stains, solvents, gasoline, antifreeze, motor oil, batteries, household hazardous waste, or appliances with Freon. Rockdale County has no landfill.
