Run by Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities.

What it takes

It’s the only place in Forsyth County that takes paint, electronics, used motor oil, some batteries, and household hazardous waste. The Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility takes tires and appliances. The Overdale Yard Waste Facility and the Forum 52 Yard Waste Facility take brush.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Forsyth County rules

  • Forsyth County doesn’t run trash drop-off centers. Homes outside the towns have franchised curbside pickup, and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Utilities runs the landfills and yard waste sites.
