What it takes

It’s the only one of Guilford County’s landfills that takes appliances. The Guilford County Scrap Tire and White Goods Collection Facility takes tires. The Household Hazardous Waste Center takes paint, used motor oil, batteries, and household hazardous waste.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Guilford County rules

  • Guilford County doesn’t run trash drop-off centers. Hire a licensed hauler, or take garbage yourself to the City of Greensboro’s transfer station or High Point’s Kersey Valley Landfill; call them about load rules and costs.
