Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers the Landfill Convenience Center and the Rockingham County Landfill. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.

Before you go
- Rockingham County’s only drop-off is the convenience center at the landfill; Waste Management offers curbside recycling everywhere in the county (336-573-1618).
- Household trash in a car or pickup costs $14 a load. Vehicles with six or more wheels, or with a trailer, pay by weight: $43.14 a ton plus the $2 state tax. An uncovered or untied load costs $10.76 more.Rockingham County’s landfill page says an uncovered or untied load costs $10 more.
