Anderson County rules
- Anderson County doesn’t pick up household garbage. Residents use the convenience centers or hire one of the private haulers the county’s solid waste page lists, with the areas each serves.
- At the Starr C&D Landfill, Anderson County residents dump construction debris, land-clearing debris, and clean metal free, except shingles ($33 a ton for everyone), asbestos, and mobile homes ($300 to demolish and dispose of a single-wide, $400 a double-wide). Loads a hired hauler brings are charged. Keep construction and land-clearing debris separate, and cut limbs and logs to size.
