Berkeley County rules

  • Businesses can’t use the convenience centers; the Berkeley County Landfill takes commercial waste. Special waste has to be arranged with landfill staff.
  • Berkeley County’s trash goes through the RePower South facility at the landfill, which pulls the recyclables out, so residents don’t have to separate recycling from trash.
  • Unstaffed drop sites are open around the clock to anyone: Goose Creek Public Works (200 Button Hall Ave.), Macedonia Middle School (200 Macedonia Foxes Cir., Moncks Corner), and Stratford High School (951 Crowfield Blvd., Goose Creek) take cardboard and mixed paper, and Marrington Middle School (109 Gearing St., Goose Creek) takes mixed paper only.
