What it takes

Newberry County’s other 11 convenience centers take the same items. The Newberry County Transfer Station takes tires, appliances, and construction debris. The Newberry County Mulch Facility takes brush.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Newberry County rules

  • Newberry County’s recycling centers are for household waste only; using them for business waste is illegal. Washers, dryers, and other appliances, and all building materials, go across the scales at the transfer station instead, where building materials cost $73 a ton.
