  • Oconee County’s recycling centers are for county residents’ household trash and recyclables. Put everything in the right container: waste left anywhere else on county property counts as open dumping, which the Sheriff’s Office investigates.

Landfills

  • The Seneca C&D Landfill takes yard and land-clearing debris, construction debris, furniture, pool liners, and fiberglass boats cut into 4-foot sections. It doesn’t take household trash, electronics, cardboard, metal, liquid paint or other liquids, or friable asbestos; non-friable asbestos needs a state permit and pays a fee.
