What it takes

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Orangeburg County rules

  • Orangeburg County’s collection centers are where county residents drop off household trash and recycling.
  • The centers don’t take shingles, burned trash, gasoline, asbestos, pallets, creosote lumber, closed tanks or gas cylinders, mufflers or catalytic converters, tractor tires, or hazardous waste. Large loads of concrete, bricks, and other debris go to the County Landfill.
