Williamsburg County convenience centers and dump hours
Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers 20 convenience centers and the Williamsburg County Landfill. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.
Convenience centers
- Williamsburg County’s 20 recycling centers are for residential use only. Each is staffed, and attendants and signs show where every item goes, household garbage included.

- Williamsburg County’s page opens its recycling centers Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7 a.m. to noon and 2 to 7 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the state’s recycling list gives Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 2 to 7 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 7 a.m. to noon, and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Landfills
- The county landfill near Salters has a construction, demolition, and land-clearing debris landfill and also takes waste tires, scrap metal, and white goods. Household trash goes by contract to Waste Management’s Oakridge Landfill in Dorchester County.

- The last debris is taken at 2:15 p.m., and vehicles must be off the scale by 2:30 p.m. The office stays open until 3 p.m.
