What it takes

It’s the only place in Giles County that takes tires, some paint, electronics, and household hazardous waste.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Giles County rules

  • The four convenience centers take bagged household trash, large debris such as broken furniture, household bulk items, scrap metal, appliances, used motor oil, cooking oil, and batteries, plus clean recycling: flattened cardboard, paper, #1 and #2 plastics, aluminum, and rinsed tin cans.
  • No center takes construction debris, trees, or lumber, or a trailer longer than 12 feet.
  • Only the Ag Convenience Center takes household hazardous waste, TVs and computers, tires, and glass for recycling.
