Lawrence County convenience centers and dump hours
Convenience centers are what most people call the dump. This page covers the Loretto Convenience Center and the Lawrence County Transfer Station. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.

Before you go
- Lawrenceburg, Loretto, Ethridge, and St. Joseph pick up their own residents’ garbage. Outside those towns, hire a private hauler or bring household trash to the transfer station yourself.

Transfer stations
- Tires and wood waste are taken Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. No tires, bulk garbage, or wood and demolition waste on Saturdays.
- Wood, demolition, and yard waste are $53.50 a ton for Lawrence County loads and $59.50 a ton from outside the county, cash or check only. Bulk household waste, such as a house cleanout, is $72 a ton and isn’t taken from outside the county. Each has a $25 minimum.
- The transfer station takes used oil, latex and oil-based paint, batteries, tires, clothing, metal, and electronics, including computers and TVs, for recycling.
