Franklin County rules

  • Household trash goes to the county’s 10 manned drop-off sites and 25 unmanned green box sites; businesses can’t use them. Brush and large bulky items go to the landfill.
  • The recycling sites take newspapers and inserts and rinsed aluminum, tin, and steel cans; cardboard only at the landfill, Lakewatch, and Scruggs. The county isn’t recycling glass or plastic for now.
