What it takes
It’s the only place in the City of Harrisonburg that takes mattresses, electronics, and some batteries. The Rockingham County/Harrisonburg Landfill takes tires and construction debris.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
City of Harrisonburg rules
- City trash customers can schedule bulk and yard debris pickup on their trash day through ReCollect: up to 5 bulk items, such as furniture, mattresses, and appliances, and 10 bags or bundles of yard debris, 4 feet long at most.
