What it takes
It’s the only place in Loudoun County that takes tires, appliances, mattresses, some paint, some electronics, brush, construction debris, used motor oil, and some batteries.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Loudoun County rules
- The landfill takes only waste generated in Loudoun County, and no tractor-trailer loads or land clearing debris. Trash and yard waste are $78 a ton and construction waste $85 a ton, with an $8 minimum; up to ten 33-gallon bags of household trash go through the FastTrash lane for $8. The gate closes at 4 p.m.
- Nine county recycling drop-off centers, open daylight hours every day, take bottles, cans, jugs, jars, paper, and flattened cardboard only. Leave nothing outside the bins: anything else left there counts as illegal dumping.
