What it takes
It’s the only place in the City of Lynchburg that takes some appliances and construction debris. The Concord Turnpike Convenience Center takes brush.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
City of Lynchburg rules
- Lynchburg residents, except apartment complex residents, bring up to 500 pounds of household trash a month free to the Concord Turnpike Convenience Center, plus unlimited bulk and brush kept in separate loads; trash past 500 pounds is 2 cents a pound, paid by card only. Bring a driver’s license or a utility bill from the past 30 days.
- City trash customers get brush and bulk pickup one week a month, set by their trash day; set items out between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday of that week, with brush and bulk in separate piles.
- The 500 free pounds a month can also go to the Region 2000 landfill in Rustburg, which takes unlimited bulk from city residents too.
