What it takes

Montgomery County’s other nine convenience centers take the same items. The MRSWA Transfer Station takes tires, mattresses, brush, construction debris, and used motor oil.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Montgomery County rules

  • The consolidated sites take household trash and recycling from Montgomery County, Blacksburg, and Christiansburg residents. No construction or remodeling waste, yard waste, business waste, or car parts; those go to the MRSWA transfer station, which charges by weight.
