Rockingham County’s other four convenience centers take the same items. The Rockingham County/Harrisonburg Landfill takes tires, appliances, mattresses, some electronics, brush, and construction debris.

  • The convenience sites take residents’ household trash and recycling only; furniture, appliances, tires, wood, and any load of 250 pounds or more go to the landfill. There, county residents’ household loads under 250 pounds are free and heavier ones $65 a ton.
