At the York County Waste Management Center
What it takes
It’s the only place in York County that takes brush. The York County Waste Management Center takes tires, appliances, mattresses, construction debris, used motor oil, and some batteries.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
York County rules
- Residents on the county’s curbside trash service bring household waste and construction debris to the Waste Management Center free, and get four free bulk pickups a year of up to three items each, such as furniture or appliances. Everyone else pays $70.10 a ton, prorated, with a $7 minimum for the first 260 pounds for York County and Poquoson residents.
