Santa Rosa County dump hours

West Florida, on Central time

This page covers the Santa Rosa County Central Landfill, the Jay Transfer Station, and the Household Hazardous Waste Center. Each one’s hours are posted below, with the rules that apply.

What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more

Before you go

  • Since March 1, 2025, unincorporated Santa Rosa County has no franchise hauler, so each home arranges its own garbage service with Adam’s Sanitation (850-537-3282) or Waste Pro of Florida (850-365-1900), the two permitted providers. Gulf Breeze, Milton, and Jay run their own pickup.

Landfills

  • Central Landfill rates since Jan. 1, 2026: $50 a ton for household garbage, construction and demolition debris, and recycling, and $25 a ton for yard waste, with a $10 minimum; mixed loads pay the household rate, and waste from outside the county pays $5 a ton more. Clean, separated concrete, brick, and asphalt are free. Cash, checks for the amount due, and major credit cards.
  • Residents without curbside recycling can drop recyclables off at the Central Landfill, $10 at least.

  • The Jay Transfer Station charges by the load: $10 for a truck loaded below its side rails, $15 above them or with an empty 8-foot trailer, and $20 to $25 with a loaded or longer trailer. You unload everything by hand. It takes no yard waste, mattresses, couches, treated wood, self-dumping trailers, or commercial or multi-home loads; since Oct. 6, 2026 it takes small household construction loads.
