What it takes
It’s the only place in Douglas County that takes tires, appliances, electronics, brush, construction debris, used motor oil, and batteries.
Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.
Douglas County rules
- Household refuse is $10 a load up to 500 pounds, or $8 if you bring recycling too; heavier loads from county residents are $60 a ton. Recycling only is free. Out-of-county loads pay $21 up to 500 pounds. Loads with yard waste, construction debris, or business waste are weighed in and out.
- Load recyclables to unload first, then household garbage, then everything else, and keep yard waste separate. Cover and secure every load. The Camp Road Convenience Center is permanently closed.
- The landfill doesn’t take biomedical, hazardous, liquid, or radioactive waste, printed circuit boards, or lithium-ion batteries.
