  • Emanuel County’s dumpsites are open around the clock for county residents’ bagged household garbage only, with no construction debris, hazardous waste, or electronics. Keep an ID or utility bill handy in case you’re asked. Don’t pile bags on or beside a full dumpster; the sites are on camera, and dumpster diving can bring a fine of up to $500.
  • Emanuel County closed its landfill in 2002. Garbage from the dumpsites and the transfer station goes to a landfill in another county.
