What it takes

Lowndes County’s other five convenience centers take the same items.

Each item has its own rules. Check before you go.

Lowndes County’s six recycling centers take recyclable and non-recyclable household garbage and yard trimmings from residents’ homes, but nothing from repairing, renovating, or remodeling a building. Ask Public Works (229-671-2700, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) about what they take; the county doesn’t post their hours.
Curbside trash service in unincorporated Lowndes County is by franchise with Advanced Disposal (229-244-2466) and Deep South Sanitation (229-559-0200).
