Sumter County dump hours
This page covers the Amerigreen Transfer Station. The Amerigreen Transfer Station is run by Amerigreen, not the county. Its hours aren’t posted, so call ahead. The rules that apply are below.
What to do with tires, mattresses, paint, and more
Before you go
- Sumter County contracts out residential garbage service. Call the Board of Commissioners office, 229-928-4500, to start or stop service, get a cart, or report a problem. The county’s pages post no drop-off site of its own.
Transfer stations
- Amerigreen’s transfer station takes bulk trash from the public on the third Saturday of each month, $50 a ton with no minimum, including bulk items and appliances. Its scrap yard is open then too, with free recycling bins for glass, aluminum cans, and plastics.
