Whitfield County convenience centers and dump hours

Before you go

• Bulky items such as mattresses, sofas, and bookshelves are taken at all four centers when there’s room: free at Old Dixie Highway, about $5 an item at the other three. Trailer and large pickup loads may be sent to the Old Dixie Highway landfill.
• Old Dixie Highway is also the authority’s landfill, where every vehicle crosses the scales. Construction and remodeling debris goes only there, at $46.25 a ton; single pieces, such as one door or window, may be taken at the other centers.
